Shaikh Sir Hamad bin ‘Isa al-Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain, KCIE, CSI, educ. privately. Chair Muharraq Municipality 1937-1942, and Court of Wards. Appointed as Heir Apparent by his father in a secret document, February 1940. Succeeded on the death of his father, 20^th February 1942. Attended the Coronation of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey in London, 1953. Granted a personal salute of 11-guns July 1942, and permanent salute of 13-guns. Presdt Bahrain Motor Fed 1952-1954.
