H.M. Emperor Minh Mang [Thanh-to Nhon Hoang-De], had further issue:
 
1841 - 1847 H.M. [Nguyen-Phuoc Mien Tong] Thieu-Tri [Hien-to Chuong Hoang-De], Emperor of Dai Nam. b. at the Purple Forbidden City, Hue, 16th June 1807, as Nguyen-Phuoc Toan, second son of H.M. [Nguyen-Phuoc Dam] Minh Mang [Thanh-to Nhon Hoang-De], Emperor of Dai Nam, by his first wife, educ. privately. Granted the personal name of Nguyen-Phuoc Dung in adolescence. Assumed the name of Mien Tong when he reached his majority and was invested with the title of Truong-Khanh Cong (Prince of Truong-Khanh). Succeeded on the death of his father, 20th January 1841. Crowned at Hue and assumed the era name of Thieu-Tri and the title of Dai Nam Hoang-De, 12th February 1841. m. (first) 1823, Dinh Thi Hanh (b. in Go-Cong, 1807; d. at the Purple Forbidden City, Hue, 1838), alias Triem, of Tan-Hoa, in Gia-Dinh province. m. (second) 1824, H.M. the Grand Empress Dowager (Thai-thuong Hoang-Hau) Tu-Du [Nghi-Thien Chuong Hoang-Hau] [Co-Hang] (b. at Bentre, 20th June 1810; d. at the Purple Forbidden City, Hue, 22nd May 1901, bur. Xuong-tho, Cu-chanh), previously Pham Thi Hang, niece of his first wife, Dinh Thi Hanh and daughter of H.E. Pham-dang-Hung, Minister for Justice, from Go-cong, Tan-hoa, Gia-dinh province. He d. at the Purple Forbidden City, Hue, 4th November 1847 (bur. Xuong-lang, Cu-chanh), having had issue, twenty-nine sons and thirty-five daughters:
