* Since the death of Susuhanan Prabhu Sri Paku Buwana XII, the succession has been disputed between his eldest son, Prince Ngabehi and his younger half-brother, Prince Tejawulan. Both princes have been installed by their respective supporters under the title of Sri Paku Buwana XIII. No clear successor was agreed because the late Susuhanan only left sons by secondary wives and failed to nominate an Heir Apparent before his death. However, Prince Ngabehi is clearly the more senior of the two, not only in genealogical terms but also in terms of the titles conferred on the two respective princes by their late father.
